Searching for other FM Developers working in Secondary Education.
Hello there,
I currently am working on a four year development of an all encompassing database for an international boarding school in Sedona, Arizona. So far so good, current users include 100+ students, 50+ staff, small in nature, but revolutionary in regard to how the school now does business. Floating Excel files and post it notes were the norm prior to FM. This database covers everything from general student information management to daily attendance, student absences, charting dorm rooms, registering for classes, grades, transcripts, master calendar, etc. Would like to meet and chat with others who are maybe working on similar projects to share ideas and extend the db’s development into new areas… Will be at DEVCON. Hi Septimus,
I work in secondary education and have spent many years developing a system similar to what you have described. I would be glad to chat and share experiences. I cannot make it to Devcon - it’s too expensive for me - one year I would dearly love to though.
